Suncorp Strategic Business Analyst Michael Gregory has won the Aon Benfield Scholarship, awarded jointly with the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).

He will travel to London next week for the 51st Aon Benfield Global Clients Reinsurance Seminar.

“The opportunity afforded to me by both Aon Benfield and ANZIIF will certainly not be taken for granted,” Mr Gregory said. “I am very excited to learn more from industry leaders and immerse myself in the Global Clients Reinsurance Seminar in London.”

Applicants for this year’s scholarship had to write a 2500-word essay on Big Data and the insurance industry.

The scheme is open to professionals with at least two years’ experience in insurance or reinsurance.

Aon Benfield has sponsored the scholarship for 11 years.
