Suncorp actuary takes Aon Benfield prize
Suncorp Commercial Insurance Actuary Jenna Cooke has won this year’s Aon Benfield Scholarship.
Ms Cooke took the prize for her essay examining how Google’s self-driving car could affect the motor insurance industry.
Her piece reflected on “the complexity of change and the ongoing evolution of the insurance industry” and emphasised the importance of “continuous industry innovation”.
The scholarship allows Ms Cooke to attend the 49th Aon Benfield Global Clients Reinsurance Seminar in London this month.
Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance CEO Prue Willsford, who was on the judging panel, says Ms Cooke is “a great example of the future leaders of our industry”.
