Successful launch for UAC breakfast seminars
The Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC) says the first of a new breakfast seminar series has been a “great success”.
Some 40 people from 23 underwriting agencies attended the September 2 event in Sydney, making for a full house at the early morning start.
UAC’s legal services partner Gillis Delaney Lawyers hosted the event, with partners David Newey and Amanda Bond covering changes to the Trade Practices Act, contractual liability and delegating to escape liability.
Feedback from delegates asked for future seminars covering the proposed amendments to the Insurance Contracts Act, construction claims, business protection and proportionate liability.
UAC Director for Education and Professional Development William Legge says members’ comments after the seminar were “very positive”.
UAC now plans to hold four breakfast seminars a year.
