Submissions open for QBE Foundation grants

The QBE Foundation has opened applications for its grants program, which offers $40,000 awards to community groups and charities.

The grants will be targeted towards work promoting climate resilience and inclusion. A separate category features groups nominated by QBE employees.

Last year the foundation provided $440,000 across 11 organisations, one of which was community-managed non-profit group Deadly Coders. The group says the cash enabled it to host educational workshops for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander schools.

QBE Foundation co-chair Chris Esson says the annual grants are critical for such groups working to make a difference.

“At QBE we have witnessed the benefits brought about by previous grant recipients and eagerly anticipate the opportunity to drive even more positive change through this year’s program,” he said.

“We believe that promoting climate resilience and fostering inclusivity are fundamental to our mission of promoting a stronger future. It’s truly rewarding to be able to assist community organisations that share our values.”

Applications are open until July 3, with winners announced later in the year. Find out more here.
