Strata seminar to explore key issues
Trends and challenges in strata will be the focus of an Insurance News seminar on May 30.
The event, which follows last month’s successful inaugural Insurance News conference, takes place in Sydney and early bird tickets are on sale now.
As insuranceNEWS.com.au has reported, there are huge opportunities in strata as the nation looks to tackle significant housing shortages, but the sector also faces challenges including the impact of climate change and scrutiny of intermediary remuneration.
Expert speakers will address growth trends in strata, natural disasters and building defects, and a panel will discuss insurance affordability.
Confirmed speakers include Principal – Climate Analytics at Finity Consulting Sharanjit Paddam and CHU CEO Kimberley Jonsson.
“This will be the first of our seminars on specific industry issues,” Insurance News Publisher Terry McMullan said. “It’s an ideal opportunity for brokers and underwriters to learn about the many issues surrounding strata insurance at this point.”
The event is made possible by sponsor CHU, and entitles attendees to four NIBA CPD points and four ANZIIF CIP points.
