Broking group Steadfast honoured six of the industry’s best and brightest young professionals at its recent national convention in Perth.

The Steadfast awards honour top achievers from the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) course.

A standout among the six award winners was Benjamin Bowen of Melbourne-based Whitbread Insurance Brokers, who picked up the ANZIIF Young Insurance Professional Scholarship.

Mr Bowen also earned an outstanding achievement award for provision of customer advice.

Among the other winners, Vanessa Andrews of Hobart firm ANCA Insurance Brokers won the top award for law and regulation for brokers, while Nick Maisey of Australian Reliance in Perth took home the accolade for risk assessment and management.

The award for broker operations management went to Ted Eftimiadis of Victorian firm Midas Insurance Brokers.

Joanna Kelly of Brisbane-based Gardner Insurance Brokers was recognised for insurance products knowledge, while Bree Williams of Finn Foster & Associates in North Sydney won the award for broker claims-handling.
