Steadfast Convention set for Adelaide after two-year break

The Steadfast Convention, the largest general insurance industry event in Australia and New Zealand, will return next year following an easing of restrictions on travel and gatherings.

The event will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from March 20-22. The theme will be “Our time is now”, reflecting the heightened focus on the industry and the importance of meeting and exceeding customer and broader community expectations.

“We will be exploring emerging trends in insurance, and hearing from incredible thought leaders from all walks of life,” Steadfast says on its website.

The Steadfast Convention, which typically attracts around 2000 attendees, has been cancelled for two years in a row due the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company says it is monitoring the COVID situation in terms of protocols for the event and will follow advice and guidelines provided by the Australian Health Department, SA Health and the World Health Organisation.

The convention had been scheduled for Adelaide last March, before the pandemic continued to disrupt major events. In 2020 it was set for Perth, but was called off amid a slew of industry event cancellations in the early months of the pandemic in Australia.
