The Steadfast Convention is under way in Adelaide as more than 1600 industry professionals gather for the largest general insurance conference in Australia.

Steadfast CEO and MD Robert Kelly told attendees it is “nice to see real people” after two previous conventions were cancelled due to covid.

“We all want to have some interaction, so it’s been wonderful to see people and the event has been very well supported by insurers,” Mr Kelly told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

The theme is “Our Time is Now”, and speakers today included QBE local division CEO Sue Houghton and leadership coach Ben Crowe.

Yesterday evening a welcome function was held at the Adelaide Oval, and the event runs until the gala dinner tomorrow night.
