Steadfast Executive Chairman Robert Kelly has been appointed a director on the board of the Association for Co-operative Operations Research and Development (ACORD), the peak global data standards organisation.

A keen supporter of ACORD, he is the latest appointment to the 26-member board and the only one representing an Australian organisation.

ACORD serves the insurance and financial services industries by facilitating the development of open consensus data standards and standard forms. It has been working in the Australian market for several years.

Globally, more than 75% of the top 50 general insurers and 70% of the top 10 reinsurers are ACORD members. Most local insurers and major brokers have ties to the non-profit organisation.
