Underwriting agency Sportscover has named Rob de Castella’s Indigenous Marathon Project as its official charity for 2014/15.

The project aims to inspire indigenous people and to create role models. Each year it sends six young indigenous men and women to compete in the New York City Marathon.

Sportscover CEO David Lamb sees it as a long-term partnership for the sports insurance specialist.

Former Olympian Mr de Castella says Sportscover’s support will include guest speaking opportunities for athletes and staff volunteering at fundraisers.
