Sparke Helmore Lawyers Partner Michelle Taylor has been appointed President of Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand (MLAANZ).

She is a litigator with 25 years’ experience in maritime and transport law.

MLAANZ engages with new legislative initiatives in Australia and New Zealand, works with Comité Maritime International (CMI) to facilitate the unification and harmonisation of maritime international laws and consults on admiralty rules and practice

Its membership includes lawyers, judges, academics, insurers, government and defence agencies and members of the shipping industry.
