Singapore convention pleases AICLA

The Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA) has hailed last week’s Asian Claims Convention in Singapore an outstanding success, with adjusters from 16 countries across the region attending.

AICLA CEO Tony Libke says the event, held at the Singapore Hilton, attracted some outstanding speakers on subjects as diverse as repairing ultra-large aircraft and negotiating under pressure.

“The number of delegates attending the convention is growing year by year,” he said. “This was the third Asian-based convention AICLA has held, and the interest and input of Asian members of the institute is growing all the time. We also had a large contingent from Australia for the first time.

“AICLA recognises the extraordinary diversity of Asia by moving the convention around the region’s various business centres.

“It allows us to facilitate a great deal of networking and understanding between the region’s loss adjusters, which is a very important aspect of these gatherings.”

Previous Asian claims conventions have been held in Shanghai and Bangkok. Next year’s event will be held in Kuala Lumpur or Hong Kong.
