Shorten to front industry regulatory update
Financial Services Minister Bill Shorten has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at the Insurance Council of Australia’s (ICA) 2013 Regulatory Update.
The event, to be held in Sydney on March 5, will consider the coming year from a political, regulatory and business perspective.
ICA GM Communications Campbell Fuller says the council is “delighted” Mr Shorten will be providing insurers with a regulatory update at the event.
“His speech is expected to be highly relevant to the general insurance industry in the lead-up to the federal election,” Mr Fuller told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
The program also features Australian Prudential Regulation Authority Executive Member Ian Laughlin, Independent Reviewer of the General Insurance Code of Practice Ian Enright and the Campaign Director of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, John Della Bosca.
