Seminar tackles maritime crime
The “untouchables” of organised crime in international waters will be discussed at a Federal Court of Australia seminar next month.
Emeritus Professor Ivan Shearer from the University of SA and Inspector Joe McNulty of NSW Police will be among those speaking on the issue.
“It’s amazing the amount of illegal fishing and dumping that goes on with impunity,” seminar organiser Tony Tesoriero told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
Cross-border insolvency and shipping will also be addressed at the event on April 23 at the Law Courts Building in Queen’s Square, Sydney.
Video links are available at Federal Court locations in Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Hobart, Darwin, Brisbane and Perth.
