Sedgwick to launch training programs in Australia

Global loss adjuster Sedgwick will start offering training programs in Australia to prepare the next generation of claims professionals.

Its Sedgwick University will run the Australia curriculum, which is designed to complement the training and accreditation services provided by industry bodies such as the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters and Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

The curriculum provides a blend of in-person and virtual training with development coursework in order to groom successful claims professionals.

As part of the program, students gain access to job search and placement support, as well as mentorship

“Since the inception of Sedgwick University’s [industry advancement program], more than 1500 colleagues have successfully completed the program in the US,” Australia COO Tracey Harris said.

“They’ve gone on to become confident leaders within our organisation and across the claims profession

“It is an outstanding program that we are thrilled to now tailor and expand in Australia, with an eye toward growing the diversity and strength of talent within our industry.”

Last December the business announced its training programs will continue expanding under the division name Sedgwick University.

Sedgwick University will offer an expanded range of courses from a growing list of experts and in geographies around the world.
