Global loss adjuster Sedgwick has appointed Clare Cordingley as Senior Manager, Major Event Response, to lead the response and strategy in Australia during catastrophes and surge events.

Sydney-based Ms Cordingley spent more than seven years at the Insurance Council of Australia, finishing there as Operations Manager, Risk and Disaster where she evaluated severe storms, flood events and bushfires.

Sedgwick head of home claims and building services in Australia Daniel Sirone said Ms Cordingley could effectively resolve complex insurance issues during disaster scenarios and she had significant experience and relationships across industry, regulatory, government and client stakeholders in relation to major event response.

“She will strengthen our local team and help us by providing guidance on solutions and services,” Mr Sirone said. “Her experience will immensely support our response strategy in Australia.”
