Underwriter Tia Poole has joined SALT Marine Risks Australia as Marine Manager.

Based in Burnie, Tasmania, she has held senior executive roles encompassing both underwriting and broking for 15 years, most recently in Hong Kong as Howden Divisional Director for more than two years and Executive Director at Willis Towers Watson for more than three years.

“We are delighted she has chosen to become part of the SALT team as we continue to grow and expand our offering to the regional broker market,” SALT’s Head of Marine Andrew Black said.

A Lloyd’s Coverholder, SALT works with brokers to write business across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. It entered the market in 2015 and has a focus on Marine Cargo and Liabilities and Commercial Hulls.
