Applications are open for this year’s Ron Shorter Award – a young professionals’ public speaking competition organised by the Australian Insurance Law Association.

The competition is open to insurance industry and insurance law professionals aged under 35.

Applicants must nominate an insurance-related topic to speak on.

Successful applicants will attend public speaking workshops in Victoria (June 5), Queensland (June 12) and NSW (June 19) at the offices of law firm Colin Biggers & Paisley. The workshop in WA will be held at law firm Kott Gunning on June 26.

Entrants in SA, Tasmania, NT and ACT can join workshops by video link.

Regional finals will be on July 19 in Victoria, July 26 in NSW and August 9 in Queensland. The final is on August 16 in WA at Kott Gunning.
