RMIA sets date for CPRM exams
The Risk Management Institution of Australasia (RMIA) will hold the first exams for its new Certified Practising Risk Manager (CPRM) designation later this year.
The tests will take place simultaneously on December 7 in all capital cities except Hobart and Darwin. CPRM is the second level under RMIA’s three new certifications, and is for candidates with at least five years’ risk management experience.
The three levels are Certified Practising Risk Associate, CPRM and Certified Chief Risk Officer.
RMIA GM Suzanne Cureton says organisations are placing greater reliance on competent risk managers.
“CPRMs should have knowledge of how to integrate risk management into business processes and systems within organisations,” she said. “They need to demonstrate the application of risk across a broad range of risk management fields, for example, governance, people, customers and markets, operations, and supply and procurement.”
