Risk Management Institution of Australasia (RMIA) President Brian Roylett has been elected Vice President of the International Federation of Risk and Insurance Management Associations.

Mr Roylett has been a board member of the international umbrella organisation for risk management associations since 2008. The body represents 23 organisations and more than 30 countries across Europe, Africa, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific.

Mr Roylett says his appointment is an achievement for the RMIA and recognises the local association’s contribution to the development of the new international risk management standard ISO 31000 Risk Management 2009.

“This appointment is exemplary of the key leadership role that the Australian risk management industry plays on the global stage,” he said.
