RMIA crowns ‘ambassador’
Leighton Contractors Manager of Risk Karl Davey has won the Risk Management Institution of Australasia’s (RMIA) Risk Manager of the Year award.
The win will see Mr Davey take on an “ambassador” role in the sector, sharing his knowledge through functions and publications.
Presenting the award today at the RMIA conference at the Sydney Convention Centre, RMIA President Brian Roylett said all the finalists demonstrated the highest standards of risk management and were all worthy ambassadors.
Mr Davey says the award gives organisations the chance to demonstrate their commitment to risk management, the value they place on it and to assist others on their risk management career paths.
“Hopefully the stories and the lessons learned will be helpful to other practitioners and help us all with our drive to raise the profile and demonstrate the value that risk management brings to business and the community,” he said.
