RMIA announces board changes

The Risk Management Institution of Australasia (RMIA) has added another seat to its board of directors following the departure of two founding members.

Joining the RMIA board are risk practitioners Colin Knox (Foster’s Group), Mark Humphreys (Brassbear Solutions) and Brett Palmer (Harvey Norman).

They replace founding members Kevin Knight and David Wilkinson, both former presidents of RMIA.

At the recent RMIA AGM in Melbourne, President Brian Roylett welcomed an “exciting new era” for the organisation, and paid tribute to Mr Knight and Mr Wilkinson for their “dedication to the risk management community”.

RMIA delivered a surplus of $185,641 for the August 2008-December 2009 period, following regulatory approval to move to a year-end reporting period.

Mr Roylett says RMIA has faced a challenging period but is now positioned “to take advantage of the enormous opportunities for membership growth throughout the region”.
