RMA launches graduate risk management course
The Risk Management Association has introduced a new Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance, specialising in financial risk management.
Classes for the part-time course, developed jointly with Macquarie University’s Applied Finance Centre, will start in June in Sydney and Melbourne.
The curriculum is designed for financial risk management executives who want to further their careers in the field. It will provide a practical understanding of the Australian market and regulations.
Students will be expected to commit about 150 hours of study – including 40 hours of classes – for the course, which is spread over four terms or more.
Portfolio management and financial risk management are the two compulsory units before students proceed to take four elective units from six offered.
The six electives are credit and lending decisions; credit portfolio management; investment and credit analysis; modelling prices and risk; operational risk management; and strategic bank management.
Information sessions will be held in Sydney and Melbourne on April 6 and 20 respectively.
