RM Advancer Awards on hold
The RM Advancer Awards, which last year chalked up their 14th year, have been cancelled this year after Vero determined it was unlikely nominees and brokers from across Australia would be able to attend an awards ceremony.
Executive GM Darren O’Connell says the awards will resume next year and Vero will encourage and support brokers and their customers to keep improving their risk management practices as they navigate the changes to their business caused by the pandemic.
“We look forward to bringing back the RM Advancer Awards in 2021 to recognise the outstanding examples of risk management across Australia as businesses adapt to this new way of working,” Mr O’Connell said.
“That spirit is very much still alive this year, even without the celebrations.”
He says it’s critical for business owners, managers and risk engineers to consider new risks such as managing multiple contractors, adapted processes and methods, restarting idled machinery, changed materials or adjusted operating rhythms, which all bring new risks.
