Risk managers still have time to apply for Vero’s RM Advancer Awards, with nominations closing on August 31.

The awards scheme, in its 13th year, recognises the most effective and innovative risk management plans undertaken by Vero and GIO customers and their brokers.

Vero’s EM Risk Engineering Richard Fenton says there are four awards, with two commercial categories (large and SME) and two personal injury and liability categories (large and SME).

“This year the awards focus on judging risk for similar-sized organisations as opposed to product lines,” he said. “This new approach aims to look through the eyes of the risk manager, as opposed to the insurer.

“Over the years we have showcased some exceptional risk management achievements from a diverse range of Australian companies – urban and rural, large and small.”

Winners will be announced at Showtime Events Centre in Melbourne on October 25.
