Riskpool GM Juliet Martin has won the 2013 scholarship awarded by the Insurance Council of New Zealand and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

She secured the $NZ5000 ($4669) prize with an essay analysing joint and several liability and the implications of moving to a proportionate liability model.

Ms Martin says she will use the money to attend an international liability insurance course run by the Chartered Insurance Institute in London in May.
