Risk Frontiers weekly webinars to start next month
Local risk modelling firm Risk Frontiers will kick off its annual seminar series next month, starting with the first of three one-hour webinars on September 17.
The seminars will be conducted online this year due to COVID-19.
The first webinar offers an historical analysis of Australian compound disasters from Risk Frontiers GM Resilience Andrew Gissing.
The following Thursday, Macquarie University professor Stuart Browning will present “Climate conditions preceding the 2019/20 compound event season,” which will be followed by “Black Summer learnings and Risk Frontiers’ Submission to the Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements.”
The final 2020 seminar on October 1 offers an introduction to Risk Frontiers’ ‘ClimateGLOBE’ physical climate risk framework, and a presentation discussing “Incorporating climate change scenarios into catastrophe loss models.”
