RIMS president hails forum
The Risk and Insurance Management Society’s (RIMS) Australasian chapter hopes its conference last week will serve as a springboard for future events.
Brad Tymmons, Enterprise Risk and Insurance Manager at EnergyAustralia, has taken over as chapter President from Colin Knox, the Risk and Assurance Director at Treasury Wine.
He says the RIMS Risk Forum at the Westin Sydney was a great success, with more than 120 attendees.
“The content and quality of the presentations was really high,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
Key conference themes included embedding risk management cultures into organisations and risk management as a tool for achieving strategic objectives.
Mr Tymmons says the chapter, which was formed last year, now aims to hold roundtable sessions across Australia.
“We have about 80 members and great support from all our industry partners.”
