The Queensland underwriting expo and lunch will be held in Brisbane on Wednesday July 15.

The event, co-hosted by the Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC) and the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA), is at the Pullman hotel in King George Square from 10am to noon.

It will be preceded by the NIBA-UAC young professionals breakfast seminar from 8am, which is limited to 100 people.

The lunch will feature as guest speaker Australian surfing legend Layne Beachley, who was world champion seven times.

The winners of NIBA’s annual broker awards for Queensland will be confirmed at the expo.

They will represent the state in the national finals at the NIBA Convention in Melbourne in September.
