Registrations open for actuaries’ GI seminar
Competition in personal lines, predicting El Nino and pricing will be discussed at the Actuaries Institute General Insurance Seminar in November.
The event will also address trends in capital and financial management and hear a report from the general insurance risk appetite working party.
Speakers on claims and reserving will discuss asbestos-related liabilities and implications for insurers from the royal commission on child sexual abuse. The speakers include Finity Consulting director and principal adviser to the Financial System Inquiry Geoff Atkins, Willis Re MD Ty Birkett and QBE Head of Capital Modelling Andy White.
Registrations have opened for the seminar in Sydney on November 17-18, with an early bird discount for those who sign up by October 24.
