Insurance & Care NSW (icare) will hold its annual conference and awards event on September 12 at the International Convention Centre Sydney.

The event – previously the Treasury Managed Fund Risk Management Conference and TMF Awards for Excellence – has been renamed the Insurance for NSW Conference & Awards.

The state-owned insurance provider has chosen “prevent and protect” as the conference theme.

“The conference and awards are a prime opportunity for agencies to share information and learn from each other through sharing their experiences,” Insurance for NSW Group Executive Tim Plant said.

“We want to help all agencies build a culture where they can create robust risk management practices.”

Australia’s first Winter Olympics gold medallist Alisa Camplin and Risk2Solution Group CEO Gav Schneider are among the conference speakers.

The award categories are: risk frameworks, systems and processes; general claims risk innovation; risk reporting and intelligence; risk leadership; and the Steve Hunt Award for excellence in prevention.
