Region enters ‘new era’ for risk management
A new era for risk and insurance managers in Australasia has begun, according to the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS).
Colin Knox, President of the newly formed Australasia chapter, says the US-based group’s resources will open up “significant opportunities not previously available in the region”.
He told 130 delegates at the RIMS Risk Forum in Melbourne last Thursday that the chapter has formulated a five-year plan based on building membership, enabling access to global resources, providing thought leadership and education, and effective advocacy.
“Today’s conference is the start of a journey. We are looking forward to the future.”
Mr Knox says the forum will be the first of many events organised by the chapter.
