Record numbers tipped for Asian claims event

The organisers of next month’s Asian Claims Convention in Hong Kong are targeting a record number of delegates, with strong interest coming from across the region.

Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters CEO Tony Libke says experts from many Asian insurance centres – including the UK, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia and China – will speak on topics under the overall theme “the ever-changing landscape of complex losses”.

Presentations will range from Shanghai-based Kevin Yu discussing complex claims in China from an insurance broker’s viewpoint, to Singapore-based Australian Stephen Thorpe speaking on what makes mega-claims so different.

“The aim is to provide a varied program of subjects that take delegates across the broad spectrum of claims, presented by people with hands-on experience,” Mr Libke told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

The convention is on March 24-26 at the Harbour Grand hotel in Kowloon. It is held in partnership with the Singapore College of Insurance. Click here for more information, or to register.
