Record numbers apply for CFP training

The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has reported record enrolments for its Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program.

Enrolment numbers were up nearly 65% based on the corresponding period last year, FPA CEO Mark Rantall says.

“These… show increasing support of our mission to uphold the CFP designation as the gold standard in professional financial planning certification,” he said.

“More than 70% of our CFP practitioners are already degree-qualified and these members also enjoy additional benefits including stronger opportunities flowing to their businesses.”

Mr Rantall says the figures also confirm growth of the CFP designation in the future.

“For those who are not yet members of the FPA, our message is to join us before the degree requirement for practitioner membership kicks in on July 1 next year.”
