Quill Club supports autism charity

The Quill Club charity day is on August 10, and this year’s charity is supporting Yellow Ladybugs, whose mission is to “improve the lives of autistic girls and women”.

The event last year raised $40,000 for the Commando Welfare Trust,

Yellow Ladybugs says is working to raise acceptance and awareness about the female presentation of autism in the education, employment, medical and general community.

“We also strive to create positive, inclusive experiences for autistic girls and women and often advocate for the rights of autistic girls and women,” it says.

The Quill Club was established in 1977 as a social and charitable organisation for insurance professionals. Its annual charity day is probably the largest annual insurance event held in Melbourne. This year’s event will be at at Central Pier in Melbourne’s Docklands.
