QBE’s in-house legal team has been named in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist for Australia and New Zealand.

Legal 500’s list is a prestigious annual compilation of leading law firms and in-house practitioners in each region.

The announcement comes shortly after QBE Australia and New Zealand Operations General Counsel Pita Williams took a place on the leadership team, elevating the status of the legal function within the business.

“We strive to be a genuine strategic support function for the business and work with our colleagues to help find the best solutions, not present them with roadblocks,” Ms Williams said.

“There has also been a concerted effort to develop our breadth and depth of knowledge of the business and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.”
