Andrew Borden, QBE’s manager of intermediary distribution for Victoria and Tasmania, has been appointed GM Workers’ Compensation.

Mr Borden has spent almost 20 years in the insurance industry, with more than half that in the workers’ compensation segment.

EGM Intermediary Distribution Jason Clarke says the group is “extremely fortunate” to have Mr Borden in the position.

“Andrew brings critical skills and experience to the role as we continue to seek new and innovative ways to meet the needs of our customers, while also delivering sensitive and effective support to injured workers,” he said.

Mr Borden takes over from Jason Hammond, who was recently appointed GM Broker Distribution.

QBE says it is already engaged in a recruitment search for a manager to fill Mr Borden's former role.
