QBE has extended its commitment to the Sydney Swans AFLW, becoming principal partner of the club’s foundation.

The AFLW team will feature the QBE logo on Sydney Swans women’s uniforms in the upcoming summer and winter series, which will showcase prospective talent as the club prepares to join the competition later this year,

QBE Australia and New Zealand CEO Sue Houghton says it is a “privilege and a thrill” to be the foundation principal partner for the new women’s team, which provides a pathway for athletes from the QBE Sydney Swans Academy, an initiative designed to identify and foster talent among aspiring young football players, into the women’s league.

“We’re immensely proud of our history with this club,” Ms Houghton said. “This new partnership is a natural step for us to take with the Sydney Swans and reflects our common passion for supporting women in sport. We look forward to seeing this pathway for young female athletes deliver great talent into the women’s league.”

QBE is also Principal Partner of the Swans men’s team.
