QBE invites entries to workers’ compensation program

QBE is inviting registrations for its workers’ compensation national training program, offering an additional 14 new courses. This will take the number of courses available across Australia to 27.

The specialised state-based training programs are a feature of QBE’s national training calendar launched in 2008.

The courses form part of QBE Connect, an integrated approached to the management of workers’ compensation programs. They are designed to educate participants on developing safety and injury management solutions, planning effective return to work programs and reducing associated costs.

“They aim to engage brokers, employers, employees and allied health and legal professions to deliver effective strategies around injury prevention and return to work,” a QBE spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

New courses for this year include the introduction of several occupational health and safety consultation refreshers, and a number of injury management and injury prevention topics.

The workers’ compensation program is accredited by both the National Insurance Brokers Association and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
