QBE Foundation grants more than $400k
The QBE Foundation has given 11 charity and community organisations $40,000 each to help address inclusion and climate resilience in Australia.
The grants program received more than 200 applications, and QBE employees could apply on behalf of charities.
This year’s climate resilience recipients are Habitat for Humanity, Planting Seeds, Shedding Community and Trust for Nature. The inclusion grant winners are Arise Foundation, Deadly Coders, Little Wings and Thread Together.
The employee choice winners are Giant Steps, MedEarth and Team Sports 4 All. The foundation has also awarded an extra $20,000 each to Friends of Black Hill and Morialta, and Neuromuscular WA.
QBE Foundation Co-Chair Jon Fox says the recipients show “exceptional commitment and innovation. The local grants program reflects QBE’s dedication to creating positive change and empowering local charities.”
