QBE Foundation adds to charity partners
The QBE Foundation has named six charity partners for this year, including new additions Assistance Dogs Australia and Foodbank.
The foundation is also renewing its partnerships with Brainwave, Camp Quality, The Big Issue and The Kids’ Cancer Project.
Charity partners are typically given a one-off donation of $50,000-$100,000 and a year-long commitment of support from the foundation. They offer QBE employees volunteering opportunities.
Foundation chairman Sally Kincaid says the Kids’ Cancer Project had been awarded a three-year partnership, providing continued support for a drug trial and other initiatives.
“We decided to consider multi-year partnerships for the first time this year,” she said.
“We recognise that certainty of funding is a challenge for the non-profit sector, so this allows us to commit to longer-term projects.”
Applications for partnerships are invited between June and September each year.
