QBE has entered its first sponsorship deal with a National Rugby League club, adding to sporting partnerships in the AFL, soccer and netball.

The insurer will be a “sleeve sponsor” for reigning premiers the Sydney Roosters for four years from next season.

“Supporting the Roosters is a natural addition to our many long-standing sporting partnerships including the Sydney Swans, NSW Swifts, Perth Glory and Subiaco Lions,” Australia and New Zealand CEO Colin Fagen said.

Last month QBE renewed its sponsorship of the Swans for another five years, extending a 33-year association with the club.

It also sponsors WA soccer organisation Football West, the SBK Superbike World Championship and Red Bull Air Race pilot Matt Hall.
