QBE donates $100,000 to cyclone recovery

QBE has donated $100,000 to support Red Cross disaster recovery work following Cyclone Debbie.

The insurer says the donation will help relief teams attend evacuation and recovery centres, reconnect families who have been separated and go door-to-door to check on people.

“We’re so grateful to QBE for its support so we can continue to walk alongside affected communities, doing whatever we can to help them recover, now and for the long term,” Red Cross Director Emergency Services Noel Clement said.

As previously reported by insuranceNEWS.com.au, Suncorp has donated $150,000 to the Red Cross and a further $50,000 to the Lismore Flood Appeal.
