QBE has appointed Andrew Broughton as EGM for Corporate Partners and Direct, starting in January.

Mr Broughton, who will be based in Sydney and report to CEO Tim Plant, has spent the past 15 years working with Allianz in Australia and the UK.

His current position is Director Commercial and Personal Broker Markets at Allianz UK.

Mr Broughton worked for 12 years at Allianz Australia, his most recent local position being national manager cluster groups and national partners.

“We are pleased to have someone of his calibre join our team to help shape the future of corporate partners and direct business units, including direct, travel, Elders, motor trades and compulsory third party, lenders’ mortgage insurance and financial institutions businesses,” Mr Plant said.
