Protecsure donates superhero theme medical garments to children’s charity

Underwriting agency Protecsure has donated 192 superhero-themed medical garments for children during their hospital stays.

The donation is in support of Supertee, a charity founded by a former tradie, who came up with the idea of a specially designed outfit for kids that would accommodate access for thermometer and other medical devices easily. He came up with the idea after his daughter was treated for cancer in a hospital.

The Protecsure donation will be shipped to the Women’s and Children’s hospital in Adelaide and the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network.

Protecsure MD Gabriele McDonald says businesses have a duty to give back, especially to the more vulnerable.

“When we are fortunate to enjoy the fruits of such a great industry, giving back should be a priority for businesses and individuals,” she said.

“If we all did something small, just gave a little bit of time or money, we could make a big difference to thousands of children.

“Most people have a child in their life that they love unconditionally, whether it be their own, a relative or friends. Children are vulnerable and never deserve to feel pain or face instrumental challenges in their young lives.”
