ProRisk execs embark on 'outrageous' expedition for charity
ProRisk Head of Operations and General Counsel Jaydon Burke-Douglas will endure a hiking trip across Australia to raise funds for The Cancer Council.
He will be joined by the underwriting agency’s National Business Development Manager Chris Varkoly as they aim to climb the 15 tallest peaks in Australia in three days.
“I can’t believe that JBD has talked me into this, but I’ve been training hard for it and really looking forward to it. The Cancer Council is such a phenomenal charity and I’m really stoked to be doing this with my good mate,” Mr Varkoly said.
Mr Burke-Douglas says the challenge may be his “most outrageous” fundraising event. He has previously embarked on a 15,000km Mongol Rally from London to Ulaanbaatar in a Ford Fiesta, and for last year’s challenge, drove an $800 Ford Falcon from Sydney to Alice Springs.
He says that ProRisk will match the donations from fundraisers, with all the funds going to The Cancer Council.
