Insurance law specialist Andrew Sharpe has left McCabes to join Meridian Lawyers, based in Sydney.

Mr Sharpe has 25 years’ experience in insurance law, litigation and dispute resolution, with expertise in product development, coverage disputes and professional indemnity claims.

Managing Principal Paul Baker says the appointment will enhance Meridian’s insurance law offering, and further announcements are expected from the firm in the coming weeks.

Insurance specialist Mark Birbeck has also joined the firm as Principal, to head the new Perth office. He joins from HBA lawyers where he was a founding Partner based in their Perth office.
