Retired CGU National Professional Risk Product and Underwriting Manager Robert Beaton last week received the inaugural Frank Earl award at the 2011 Australian Professional Indemnity Group (APIG) conference.

The award honours industry stalwart Frank Earl, who died in July last year following a long battle with cancer. It recognises excellence in professional lines insurance.

The Lee & Lyons Lawyers-sponsored award celebrates Mr Beaton’s career spanning more than 35 years specialising in professional indemnity insurance.

He took home a trophy and also won a trip to California in November to attend the Professional Liability Underwriting Society Conference in San Diego.
