PetSure has appointed Dani Hoolahan Chief Veterinary Officer.

Ms Hoolahan, who was formerly at animal pharmaceutical company Zoetis and owner of the Veterinary Dermatology Clinic, says insurance is important for animal welfare.

She says the options for treating animals can be affected by limitations revolving around owners’ financial situation. Pet insurance allows veterinarians to practice a higher level of medicine where cost is not the main driver of treatment decisions.
