Online jobs service set for launch

A new service being launched by insuranceNEWS.com.au next week will allow insurance professionals to search for jobs online in a format that’s cheaper and more accessible than any other.

Called simply insuranceNEWS.com.au/jobs, the new industry-specific website is intended to “attract the people you want, not those you don’t”.

Publisher Terry McMullan says ads on the new Jobs site will cost $50 each plus GST, with a free $50 credit for first-time users. After that companies will be able to buy “job credits” through the secure PayPal payments facility.

“We have around 14,000 subscribers on the website now, so the development of this service was a logical step,” he said. “We researched a lot of sites in Australia and overseas to learn the best ways to provide an efficient service at the lowest possible cost.”

“Companies using the service will also have their job listed on the insuranceNEWS.com.au homepage free of charge. Insertion of companies’ logos in advertisements will also be free.”

Mr McMullan says a number of major risk insurance companies and recruiting agencies have already signed up to use the service.
